Becoming involved Martial Arts and Self Defense training has enormous benefits for children. Our Karate for kids program is based on traditional Taekwondo and incorporates the concept of lifetime learning with technical skills. The building blocks of Karate for Kids are monthly themes such as:
Additionally, our system includes the unique victory patch. Kids are rewarded special “Victory Stars.” These different colored stars are rewarded for outstanding performance in karate class, school, home or tournament competition.
Kids may receive the following stars for the following deeds:
Different colored Victory Patches are available to accommodate all the stars that can be earned by a high achieving Karate Kid:
In addition to our internationally recognized Karate for Kids program, we offer the Taekwondo for Tigers program, developed specifically for preschool age children ages 4 through 6. This program offers children a strong foundation in essential character qualities such as courtesy, respect, and discipline. In addition, the program is designed to improve children’s motor skills and enhance their ability to pay attention and follow directions. All classes are taught using the safe, fun, and exciting instruction methods appropriate for this age group. This program works in conjunction with Karate for Kids, thereby emphasizing the same important monthly themes and value system.
As in the Karate for Kids program, Tigers have their own unique victory bag tag and “Victory Stars.” Stars are earned in the same way as the Karate for Kids program, modified to preschoolers. Five different colored victory bag tags are available to accommodate all the stars that can be earned by a high achieving Tiger. Upon graduation from the Tigers program into the “Junior” or “Big Kid” program, Tigers are rewarded by the opportunity to wear the “Big Kids” or “Karate for Kids” patch.
The rank and testing system used by the Tigers is slightly different than that of Karate for Kids. Tigers can earn six collectable animal patches to display on their uniforms, and are able to learn about the characters as they: stand up to bullying, learn control, and lead by example (to name a few)
Through Martial Arts programs such as Taekwondo, Karate, and Self-Defense, youths can grow in confidence and self-esteem to live a more prosperous, balanced, and respectful lifestyle.
